Course Description

AI Operator: Frontier is a 10-day instructor-led course for DoD and government technical operators who are already comfortable at a shell and want to move beyond chat-window AI into real agentic workflows. Over two weeks, students build a working project of their own choosing using the leading commercial AI providers, learning to direct AI agents to scope, build, test, document, and ship real software. The course covers the full agentic engineering workflow: establishing agent context, planning before building, enforcing build discipline, coordinating multiple agents, and putting production-grade CI and security gates around AI-generated code. Students leave with a shipped personal project, a 12-month subscription to the provider of their choice, and an operator-grade workflow built to outlast the next model release.

Learning Objectives

  • Direct AI agents to scope, build, test, document, and ship real software
  • Operate like a product manager directing engineering work, instead of typing every line yourself
  • Combine multiple frontier commercial models in a single workflow with confidence
  • Tell the difference between a durable skill and a passing tool -- and update your stack on purpose, not by accident

Course Outline

Week 1 -- Frontier Setup & First Agentic Build
Week 2 -- Depth, Production, and the Bigger Picture
