Software development experience, basic command-line familiarity, and Claude Code access approved by your organization (a paid Claude account is required). Students need access to a preconfigured lab repository or local environment and must attend all sessions.
Course Description
This applied engineering program is for teams already using or evaluating Claude Code or comparable AI coding tools. It goes past feature awareness into disciplined, repeatable workflows that improve productivity while preserving quality, security, and human oversight. Through guided labs built on realistic engineering tasks, you will use Plan Mode and explicit constraints, onboard to unfamiliar repositories, generate and improve tests, debug and refactor, review diffs and commands before accepting them, and configure project guidance with CLAUDE.md and enterprise settings. You will also see where skills, subagents, hooks, MCP servers, plugins, and slash commands fit. Optional modules cover Claude Code GitHub Actions, CI/CD automation, Claude Cowork, Remote Control, and enterprise administration. You leave with a team playbook, a guardrails checklist, starter customization files, and a working agreement for AI-assisted coding.
