What is DoD Directive 8570 and What Training do I Need?
The United States Department of Defense relies on the organization’s Information Assurance (IA) Workforce to protect vital information, information systems and information infrastructures. The DoD constructed the 8570.1 directive to verify that the IA workforce has the necessary skills and knowledge to accomplish this task.
8570 states that all DoD employees with privileged access to a DoD system, including military service personnel, defense contractors, civilian and foreign employees, must be certified on the concepts, principles and applications that will enhance the protection of the Department’s data, information systems and networks.
This mandate had an aggressive timetable that aims to have 100% of the workforce fully certified by 2010 and to maintain that certification into the future.
To accommodate these needs, ITdojo offers the following training seminars:
We are also able to bring in other trainers to meet additional DoD 8570 Training needs that you do not see listed above.
