Wireless Training in Virginia Beach

Ciscoworks Training Virginia by ITdojo

Duration: 5 days

Prerequisites: CCNA® and Network Management experience.

CiscoWorks is the flagship management tool for Cisco®. As networks grow, individual device control and management becomes increasingly problematic and resource intensive. CiscoWorks brings the management of the entire enterprise to a centralized, graphical interface. The management of literally thousands of devices can be coordinated and controlled from a single desktop PC.

This power simplifies but also adds in additional complexity because system admins need to not only understand the devices they are configuring but also how to best utilize CiscoWorks in your environment.

ITdojo's custom CiscoWorks seminar is designed to bring the enormity and complexity of CiscoWorks down to its most basic components with an analysis of the underlying protocols in use, the individual components of CiscoWorks and their functional implementation in production networks. After coming to ITdojo's Implementing & Administering CiscoWorks administrators will be able to:

  • Install & Configure Ciscoworks on Windows Servers
  • Integrate CiscoWorks with 3rd party network managemnet tools like HP OpenView
  • Configure Device Discovery and Populate the CiscoWorks database with Network Devices
  • Use CiscoView to graphically administer infrastructure devices
  • Configure & Utilize Resource Manager Essentials (RME) to:
    • Implement Inventory Management
    • Push, pull & edit device configurations
    • Manage software images
    • Analyze syslog messages
    • Gather and interpret device statistics
  • Configure & Utilize Campus Manager to:
    • Build physical and logical maps of the network
    • Determine layer 2 & layer 3 data paths
    • Determine the location of hosts & end users
    • Use Device Fault Manager to monitor network assets for future failures
    • Use Internetwork Performance Monitor to determine and test network connectivity statistics, response times and device availability
    • Configure, Implement & Test Access-Control List Manager to centralize the management and deployment of ACLs in the enterprise
    • Work with Real-Time Monitor gather and interpret network resource utilization

This seminar features a large number of practical, hands-on, exercises in a large lab network. The lab exercises will give you the ability to leverage the power of CiscoWorks using:

  • Cisco® Routers
  • Cisco® Catalyst Switches
  • Cisco® Aironet Access Points

When completed, you will have the ability to implement and administer CiscoWorks for your production environment in a way that effective and efficient, allowing an organization to achieve the best return on its CiscoWorks deployment.
